Greetings fellow book dragons!
So last month turned out to be a little more ambitious than I initially thought, but I ultimately got distracted by a summer series on HBO called The Night Of. Have you seen this? If not, you should really check it out. I couldn’t move while watching it. It was so riveting!
Back to the books…
This month I plan on reading:
This will be a reread for me, but it’s my book club’s pick for this month. I loved it the first time I read it, so I’m interested to see if it will hold up after another reading.
I joined a Goodreads read-along group hosted by Katie at Life Between Words and this is the selection for this month. I’ve never read this book although I’ve heard a lot about it over the years, so I’m excited to read it especially with others.
I’ve been hearing a lot of great things about this book, so I put it on hold at my library and it should come in this month. The story follows children who entered magical lands and then returned back to reality, but no one believes them. Despairing parents send their children to a school for these sol-called wayward children run by Eleanor West, who unbeknownst to the parents, believes the children because she has also been to a fantastical place herself. She promises to help the parents, but also offers the children a place where they will be believed. This seems so charming and wonderful. I hope it lives up to the hype that I have already placed upon it!
What books do you plan to read this month?
Happy Reading!
