Greetings Fellow Book Dragons!
Top 5 Wednesday is a weekly meme within the book community that was created by Lainey of GingerReadsLainey, but is now hosted by Sam of Thoughts on Tomes. If you’re interested in participating, find out more on the Goodreads group.
This week’s topic is Books for Your Hogwarts House! Slytherins get a bad reputation because all of the focus goes to the evil people that came from the house, but lest we forget that Harry himself was only a hatstall between Gryffindor and Slytherin! The truth is we have many great qualities! Resourcefulness. Cunning. Cleverness. Fraternity. Ambition. Proud. Slytherins are just as intelligent as Ravenclaws and strive to be experts in their field, and what better way to achieve these goals than by reading!
In no particular order, here are my selections.

The Martian
Mark Watney is the embodiment of resourcefulness and cleverness in this amazing story of survival. Additionally, the author’s own story on how this story went from blog posts to bestseller will definitely appeal to any Slytherin’s sense of ambition.
Game of Thrones
There are so many characters who exemplify Slytherin qualities. These books are definitely great resources and studies on how to be and how not to be!
Behind Her Eyes

I can’t say exactly why I chose this book without spoiling the ending, but needless to say, this book would be a great reference on how cunning the people of this house can truly be as well as a character study on someone going to the dark side.
Daughter of the Pirate King

Alosa is another character who embodies resourcefulness and is extremely clever. She’s filled with a lot of pride for who she is and where she comes from. She is definitely a great character to have represent the house.
A Court of Thorns and Roses
Feyre is another character who is extremely resourceful, clever, way too proud, and definitely masters the art of cunning by the end of the trilogy. And I have to say, that the Night Court is definitely a group of people I would love to belong to house Slytherin!
What are some books that you would add to the Slytherin library? Let me know in the comments!
I also said A Game Of Thrones for Slytherin books. I agree so many of the characters would be sorted into Slytherin. Great post as well!
