This week’s topic is Books I Want to Reread! Though it seems like we are all constantly chasing the next upcoming release or talking about all the trending titles, let’s take a trip down memory land and talk about some books that we’d like to revisit.

Here are my selections in no particular order:
I’ve been slowly making my way through this series again with high anticipation that The Winds of Winter will be released next year. Each reading brings with it more nuances, more theories, and a constant amazement at the world building and story development of this series. I learn something new each time I read them and find that my fascination continues to grow as well as my deep admiration and respect for GRRM’s writing ability!
I sped through the trilogy and loved every minute of it. I bought the fourth book, The Girl in the Spider’s Web, when it came out, but discovered that it had been so long since I read the original series that I wanted to reread the books again before delving into the latest installment. Unfortunately, the time just hasn’t come yet and my attention is taken up with other worlds and characters. I really do look forward to reading this again and finding out whether it’s held up with time.
This was a beautiful book that I really enjoyed reading; however, I read it in the dark hours of the night while sleep deprived following my first son’s birth. I can remember how atmospheric the story was and a basic synopsis, but I would like to revisit this world again now that I have a better attention span and much more alert mental mindset, which I believe will make it much more easier to fully appreciate why I liked it in the first place.
This was one of the first books I read of Jodi Picoult’s. I had read all of her published books at the time; however, this one was out of print and I used every resource I could back in the day to find a copy. I hardly remember anything about it now except that one of the main characters was a world renowned researcher known for his work studying the sounds of humpback whales. This is her first book and it doesn’t receive very high ratings on
Goodreads, but at the time I read it, I gave it 5 out of 5. That was over 15 years ago, so I’m interested to find out whether a reread of an author that used to be one of my favorites will still leave me blown away. I’m very skeptical at this point in time, but I want to find out.
I read this book my freshman year of high school and while I can remember how powerful this story was for me at that time, I know I was also way too distracted in my own teenage brain to truly appreciate and understand its significance. I think it’s important to make time to reread this book to reflect and remember this horrific moment in history so as never to forget man’s extreme inhumanity towards his fellow man.

I don't think I could read Night again, that book was so grim. I was so depressed after I finished it. 😦
